The man behind the pen.
Searches for words to say.
The thoughts upon his heart.
The picture he wants to portray.

He puts his pen to paper.
And lets his heart flow free.
Bares his soul to the world.
For everyone to see.

They see inside his soul.
His happiness and his pain.
His bitterness and his laughter.
And in his heart the stain.
~
They sometimes don’t understand him.
His words may make no sense.
But to them they mean everything.
He gives them no pretense.
~
The man behind the pen.
All he wants is to share.
His thoughts with all the world.
So his heart he lays bare.
~
So when you read what he has written.
Look beyond what you see.
Into the soul of a poet.
And let your mind flow free.
