Self Righteous

Life is filled with uncertainties It is a absurdity
Like when you’re best friend
Thinks that life isn’t worth livening
And takes a pistol
And shoves it into his mouth
And blows away the back of his head
There is nothing certain in this world
It makes me want to hurl
To see the so called perfect people
In there new cars
Looking down there noses
At the slums and ghettos
Open up those fake eyelashes
And see what’s going on all around you
We have people sleeping in there own feces
With a piece of cardboard to keep them from the cold
They reach there hand out for a Dime a Nickel
And what do you do?
You cross the street so you don’t have to pass by them
You and you’re self-righteous attitude
Make me want take you by the back of the head
And shove your nose into a dose of reality
Is that dime or even that dollar bill going to break you?
SO what you don’t get your daily cappuccino
Maybe it will keep one man alive another day
Look in a mirror
Are you that much better than that person
Sitting In his own filth
How can you look at yourself at the end of the day
I saw a man the other day in a parking lot
Offering to help people push there grocery cart
For a quarter
The man was called names spit at and pushed
Why? That quarter may mean life or death
So the next time you walk down a street
And see a man with his hand out
Don’t walk to the other side
Take a minute to wear his shoes
Skip that morning coffee
So that when you lay down your head
On your comfortable bed at night
You can at least tell yourself I tried
