Watery Grave

I am told you can hear her voice
Blowing in the wind
The ocean breeze carries her mournful cry
That stirs the soul within

They say on certain moonlit nights
You see her walking on the waves
Searching for her one true love
Who the ocean took away

It was on a storm filled night many years ago
That claimed her lovers life
The wind was blowing fiercely
Showing all its might

They were to be wed when he returned
But twas not meant to be The ship he sailed could not be found Vanished out to sea

When she heard the news she rushed out To the ocean blue She dove in to join her love In his watery tomb

Her cries still echo to this day As she calls her lovers name Her spirit searches forever more Upon the seas mist's rain
